3:16

Jesus said to Nicodemus:
“Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, 
so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 
so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, 
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish 
but might have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, 
but that the world might be saved through him.
Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, 
but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, 
because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
And this is the verdict,
that the light came into the world, 
but people preferred darkness to light,
because their works were evil.
For everyone who does wicked things hates the light
and does not come toward the light, 
so that his works might not be exposed.
But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, 
so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.
JN 3:14-21

Y ou see it at professional sports venues all of the time. Those signs that say “John 3:16.”  This, of course, is the famous line from John that says “God so loved the world that He sent His only Son to save the world.”  Those of us who are Christians would know what those numbers mean.  We have the background to know that it is referring to the Bible and specifically to the writings of John.  But, I fear that many are those that see these prophetic signs and have no idea what they mean.  They may even know the words but have no clue why it should matter to them. Jesus shows how God has made the first move to right the wrong we committed in the Garden of Eden.  He begins by sending not just an angel, but His very own Son who will live the life of a first-century man, earning the food that he ate by the sweat of his brow and then in the last three years of His life, He will show us the way to God and heaven and to a life that will never end.  All we have to do is listen to Him and to do what he says. God truly loved the world. PLEASE REMEMBER THE POOR SOULS IN PURGATORY.  THEY NEED OUR HELP DESPERATELY.  THERE ARE MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF SOULS THAT HAVE NO ONE TO PRAY FOR THE.  FOR EXAMPLE, PROTESTANTS DENY THE EXISTENCE OF PURGATORY AND THUS ONCE A PROTESTANT DIES THERE IS NO ONE TO OFFER PRAYERS FOR THEM.  HELP IS URGENTLY NEEDED.  PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM TODAY.
