We have read this story, or seen it the movies, dozens upon dozens of times. Yet do you know the symbolism of the colt Jesus was riding? A conquering king would ride into the conquered territory in full battle dress on a white steed and show by various means, usually violent, that he was the boss. Now, on the other hand a King riding into town on a donkey shows Himself to be humble and beneficent.
My wish for the world on Palm Sunday 2012 is that peace will break out all over the world, and all come to the saving knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.
